Post by: Zachary The First on September 18, 2006, 05:56:25 PM
So, let's hear your about your favorite free RPGs out there.

A few that come to mind for me, INPO:

1)  Risus (http://www222.pair.com/sjohn/risus.htm)
2)  JAGS-2 (http://www.jagsrpg.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownload&cid=2)
3)  Perfect 20 (small PDF link) (http://members.shaw.ca/LeviK/Perfect20_2005.pdf)
4)  FATE (http://www.faterpg.com/)

Other free systems out there I'd mention would include Impresa (http://www.pigames.net/collaborative/index.php?action=read&page=125) and Iridium (http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=6092).  And I'm sure I'm forgetting a good half-dozen, but those'll do, for starters.  Your faves?

I was invited to download a free copy of iridium system, it's not bad.

The fuzion system could work too.

I think Fudge is ok, but I hate the 'damage' system.

Mazes and Minotaurs

Jags Wonderland

Zenobia

Warlords of Alexandria

those all leap to mind.  I host the last two at //www.balbinus.com but wasn't involved in writing them, I just had spare webspace when the author needed some.

Edit:  And Risus.
