This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

One Star - DTRPG ratings

How many people purchase RPGNow products based on their rating? It might give a visibility boost to very highly rated products, since you can filter them by rating, but I doubt it would have a strong effect on your average supplement.

Also, some people hating you and your stuff can be a compliment. Would you want to be liked by turbo-SJWs? Why?

Tangentially: is there some way to quickly find the ratings I've given and the reviews I've written? I'm not finding it in DTRPG, and I think I've given reasons for most of my low ratings but I wanted to be sure.

Interestingly on Amazon and the like, lower-star reviews have more views than higher-star ones. People tend to assume that higher-star reviews are bullshit (since you can buy them, after all), and lower-star ones are sincere. But if there's no accompanying text they assume it's bullshit either way.

As well, lower-star text reviews tend to be longer, because people have more to say when they're upset than when they're happy. The OP's starting this thread is a good example of this.

stars with no explanations really mean little, I take more credence in 2-4 ratings (with no explanation). Its a fact that a lot of people (me included) wont give "10s" on surveys, so one company I know tries to game the system by having their surveys rank between 1-7 (with the same results...)
