This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

BRP Magic/Power resources?

I got the BRP corebook based on a review here and am mostly satisfied. Problem is that they magic and powers and psionics and whatnot all feel a little... well, bland. Granted, it's kinda hard for a genereic system book not to feel a little vanilla, but while this is a good starting point for say a swords and sorcery type game or urban fantasy, I'm hoping to not have to re-invent the wheel as far as magic and stuff goes. Can anyone point me to some online resources of magic power-type frameworks that have been done for BRP?

You might find some useful stuff at //www.basicroleplaying.com

Otherwise, I'd recommend picking up Nephilim and Liber Ka for an off-the-shelf, BRP-compatible magic system that's wonderfully evocative.

Forgot to mention that the Bronze Grimiore for Elric! is also an excellent resource for evocative expansions to the Sorcery system.
