This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: CRKrueger;476737Now that you mention it, it is a little odd.  It sounds a little like something coming down from GW, but this is just an open tryout.

I'm thinking they must get a lot of Slaanesh fanwank material in their submissions.

They may have a perfectly good reason for including it. I would just think that kind of stipulation might invite more submissions with violence against children content. And it does make you wonder what kind of submissions they have been getting.

Ghost Whistler

Quote from: Pseudoephedrine;476738Your concerns were stupid and irrelevant, and were about how they hadn't put enough monsters in & how you were too lazy to do basic DM duties. Mine are more serious complaints coming from running a campaign for half a year or so.

Yes dear.
"Ghost Whistler" is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parental death, alien battles and annihilated worlds.

I would doubt (ie hope) they havent' had the authors of FATAL 40,000 or something posting vile stuff, but who knows. I suspect it's just standard legal stuff to protect their own backs.

Get back to me when you actually start playing RPGs instead of just whining about them on the internet.

But they aren't legally responsible for submission content and they can reject material pretty much on any grounds they want (from quality to content issues). If this were a legal thing, I'd expect to see a long list of things they wouldn't accept.

Are you sure you're not reading too much into this. I don't know whether they've had a deluge of eldar porn or slaashfic, but it's probably just nothing more than a simple request for people to not be unpleasant. *shrugs*

You are probably correct that it is a simple request. I guess my point is the request itself just seems an odd one to make. To me it just draws attention to something most people wouldn't really think about otherwise.

The article mentions only defenseless individuals so technically you could get cracking with various animals, servitors or droids.  Besides that sheep really was asking for it, looking at me and undressing me with those brown eyes... :hmm:

Perhaps FFG's recently released Black Crusade RPG factored into this.

A great RPG blog (not my own)

danbuter

I'm betting GW specifically included it in the FFG contract. After all, violence against kids instantly makes the game illegal in Germany and probably some other euro countries.
