This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ha ha ha, according to the map I'm a zombie. When I zoom down I've been located in Queens Park Cemetary.

I'm rather suspecting I didn't just show up. Partly because I can not see the map, partly because I check in from work with all the advantages and disadvantages that come from that. Not the least of which is insanely restrictive security measures.

By all means correct me if I'm wrong.
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

I've driven further (farther?) for games ;)

Long ago, when I moved out this far (Crystal Lake is almost the same distance to Rockford as Chicago), I resigned myself to occaisionally having to drive longer distances...part of the package...

I'm originally from Holland MI. Cobblestone is actually where I got my first D&D products from, and that store will always hold a special place in my heart.

At present I am located in Mount Pleasant MI.

One Horse Town

I'm not on there at all, unless it's me in Reigate, UK. Which is only about 15 miles out.

They are going off the geopositioning from your IP so it's quite possible. Mine's several miles out as well.

You're in Frankfort?  How long have you lived there?  I grew up in New Lenox, on Laraway road.

Did you ever go to the FAL or to 3D House of Games?

I'm up there several times a year and plan on moving back up in that area in a year or so.

There I am in Montreal. Apparently someone else on the site is from Montreal as well. Cool.

joewolz

There are a lot of us on that map.  I didn't realize how big the site had become.

And who is that down in Paducah?  That's not far from me...

We just moved here. We have moved around a bit but Linda started out in Muskegon MI and I was up in da U.P. in Menominee MI. Straight out of college we moved to LaSalle-Peru IL then up to MN. We just got down here and I am getting my 12' conference table set up in the family room with my huge dry erase board. I am hoping to gather a group together for a weekly game but may have to settle for whenever a group decides would work.

I am still looking for some good game shops close by. Mark from CMG suggested a place called Dragon's Lair a bit north of us. Also, I looked at...can;t think of the name but they are a comic shop that carries games. A local chain...maybe something like FG Comics or something. Anyway, it did not look too hopeful. Still getting my bearings and breaking down boxes. I am hoping I will be able to get better organized.

Let me know when you are in town. I will make you my deadly gamer tacos. ;)

I never knew about the place.  Last summer we were up in Holland and it was my nephew's b-day.  He's into WH40K, so I looked it up and took him over for a present.  Now I have a gift certificate :)

Dragon's Lair, IIRC, is owned by...no wait...that's a different place.

One of the places I always enjoyed is a bit of a hike for you - in Mt Prospect.  It's called Games Plus.  Man do they have stuff there.  Old stuff.  Out-of-print Stuff. I could spend hours in that place.

CodCon is coming up in April...at the College of Dupage.  I'm not sure how far that is or if they will have events you'd enjoy. Maybe you could demo your stuff...
