This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Esdevium vs Tome of Fate

Almost everywhere bar Europe it seems the Black Crusade supplement, Tome of Fate, has been released. It's available in pdf as well at drivethru. The latest Esdevium (Europe's primary distributor) has it down for next week (along with the navigator book for RT, in case you want to spend more money), but the price is listed at almost ten quid more than it should be. It's the same page count as Lathe Worlds, 144, but priced as if it were the same size as the 'premium' sourcebooks, such as Into The Storm, Rites of Battle or the Inquisitor's Handbook. I'm told the book retails in the US for the same price as Lathe Worlds,$39, so anyone in the know as to why i should be gouged an extra tenner (including the retailer's markup)?
"Ghost Whistler" is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parental death, alien battles and annihilated worlds.

Could be a printing error on the release list, they sometimes get those if the prices come in late for items.

Check Leisure games or IGUK and see what they are charging for the book if its roughly the same then yeah esdevium fucked up.

I'm waiting to see what IGUK charge which, whatever the result, will be less than my LGS.

EDIT: they have it in stock now! That was rather quick. It's supposed to be out next week. How odd. Anyway it's a couple of quid dearer than it should be (£29 with postage as opposed to the usual £27), but that's as good a deal as you're going to get. So i ordered it.
