Title: [EPT] Raising an Old Game from the Dead
Post by: Greentongue on November 21, 2007, 08:16:54 AM
Mrur - "The Undead"

I have created several play examples for my Savage Tekumel conversion.

Morusai hiUjjain and The Bandits (http://home.earthlink.net/~djackson24/SWcombatX.htm)
Banyu's Escapade (http://home.earthlink.net/~djackson24/SWnoncombatX.htm)
Arrested! (http://home.earthlink.net/~djackson24/SWchaseX.htm)
and
Tabunta's Trail (http://home.earthlink.net/~djackson24/SWnoncombat2.htm)

I was wondering if written up as One Shots instead, would they be useful for reviving interest in the "Classic" Empire of the Petal Throne?
(Either using the Classic EPT rules set or a conversion such as Savage Worlds.)

Any opinions? (or examples if people have already done this.)

Should the Mrur rest in peace?

Mrur are the EPT version of zombies.

It is in reference to raising a "dead" version of EPT and giving it a semblance of "life".

Oh. You might want to avoid jumping in with highly-specialized jargon if your idea is to actually make any fucking sense to newbies who have no idea about the bizzare language used in the setting and thus will OBVIOUSLY not catch the reference.

Of course, if your point is to show off how utterly impossible it is to get into Tekumel because of this sort of shit, and proceed to have a thread no one bothers with because no one can understand what the fuck you're saying, then by all means proceed.

The (failed) idea was to catch the eye and was not intended to bamboozle.
I have altered the title to more accurately reflect the topic.
Thanks for taking to time to point out my mistake.
