This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: Lawbag;362813looks like a rehash of the Blue Rose setting done right?

Found this from a thread on rpgnet

Quote'There is a creator God, and she's a woman. After creating the universe, she creates a paradise for herself called the White Ring. The White Ring is a manifestation of her positive, creative energies, and due to some universal principle of balance, there is an antithesis to the White Ring, called the Black Sphere. The interaction between the White Ring and the Black Sphere produces a something-or-other of Soliloquy, which creates waves of creative energy that spread out across the universe.

Anyway, these waves meet at the end of the universe, and a planet takes shape and starts to grow until it is the size of a sun. This is the planet Eoris. Upon Eoris, a child was born, the First Child. This First Child was the first sentient life form in the universe apart from God, and was the first of the Sil, God's Angels. More Sil show up, then other forms of life.

This next bit is kind of glossed over, but apparently life in the universe then does lots of stuff for thousands of years, culminating in a really big war that destroyed 98% of all life in the universe, leaving Eoris as the most viable seed for the rebirth of life in the universe.

But, ya know, just when it seems like things are looking up again, God becomes suicidally depressed. Apparently trapped in mortal form somewhere in the central city of Eoris, she creates a new form of life, the Last Angels. They land in the form of meteors on Eoris, then after seven years of dormancy, awaken. Now the Last Angels are marching toward the central city of Eoris, intent on killing God.

This is where you come in. It's kind of a catch-22 situation. God is apparently very unhappy, but if she offs herself, the universe dies too. You also can't kill the Last Angels, because if they die, that also causes the universe to unravel. The metaplot apparently revolves around trying to find non-lethal ways of preventing the Last Angels from killing God. '

To me that looks like pile of old pants ....

I really don't want to be dark on this as they seem to have ndergone all sorts of rigmarole to get this to market and the presentation is incredible. You can tell it's a real labour of love for them and you feel for them, but...
"Ghost Whistler" is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Parental death, alien battles and annihilated worlds.

I get the impression that they all should have gotten jobs as artists for video game companies instead of doing their own thing.  They offer the ability to play anything but lock it in too much with a strong metaplot that's hard to buy into.

Plus the charsheet has way too many types of stats.  It's one thing to have lots of stats/attributes/abilities that all behave the same way mechanically.  They look to have 8-12 types of stats that probably operate somewhat differently.  That's far too distracting and not worth the training time.

This reminds me of Zaon in more ways than one, which seems to have vanished recently. Graphics guys doing a RPG on the side and a character sheet that in this case you could play Chinese Checkers on. :( Did they hemhaw about the rules, setting and such ad infinatum too?

Is that a red panda with two tails, antlers and a cross on its forehead? o.O

So where's the Third Eye basic pdf freebie? I see the monthly subscription thing but that's it and I don't like pay to play computer games, so not interested in that aspect.
