This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: johnsnead;494725Work has been happening.  Lots of layout has been done, and I've seen some of the preliminary art (which looks excellent).  It's not done, but it's a whole lot closer to done than it was when the Kickstarter ended.  I'm fairly confident we'll meet the mid February deadline (barring major problems with the printer or other random disasters).

That's good, anyways, don't mind me, I wasn't really talking about this game at all, just expressing some general frustrations.

Still looking forward to the game. The occasional update in an easy-to-find place on the internet would be nice.

There is a status update on Kickstarter with a sketch of the cover. Looks like that mi-go is getting an ice cream.

It's only a sketch version. I assume the "ice cream" will be more clearly definable in the final illustration. Looks pretty good for a sketch.

Yes, my guess is chocolate. The mi-gos are crazy for it, as in failed in my SAN check and now I need it like Yog-Sothoth needs its regular share of redneck booty.

Quote from: warp9;537238Any more news about the project?
It will be out very soon - no more than a couple of weeks at most.  We're currently fiddling with the last few layout details (which are turning out to be pretty darn fiddly), and I want the book to look awesome.

At long last, after much wrangling with art, formatting, and tables, it's done!!!  You can buy the 270 page PDF on Drivethrurpg.  I hope you enjoy it, there's some excellent art, and I think the book looks really great.  Pre-orders for the print book will start very soon.

Just picked it up and it looks great! Did a quick scan through, didn't have time to read the whole thing yet, but I am REALLY digging the take on human's relationships with the Mythos aliens. The background is superb, some love went into that obviously. Nice work!

I'm holding out for a hardcover print book but took a peak at the preview on RPGNow.com and really like what I saw.

From what I've read so far of the background, it's a masterful extrapolation of what life on Earth might be like 100 years after the events of HPL's stories.

Update: Still reading. Still awesome. :)

One change I'm pondering is busting the hard boosted attribute cap of 7, letting the PCs be Lovecraftian genegineered supersoldier types. Still mulling that over.

Incidentally, John Snead will be stopping by this afternoon (Central Time) at some point in #rpgnet for a Q&A, if anyone's interested. (Again, #rpgnet on IRC has nothing to do with RPGnet, so fear not. :) )
