This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I saw this on DriveThru - 8 pages, rules light, $1 - but I have plenty of free RPGs rotting on my hard drive. Anything special about this one?

And WTF with 8 pages? There is a limit to the "less is more" mentality and I am going to say a RPG needs 64 page minimum. It's an arbitrary number, but I gotta draw the line somewhere.

I haven't read/played it, but my understanding is that it was intended as a tiny 'pocketmod' type ruleset.  I believe it is an expansion of an entry for a "write an rpg in 24 hours" type contest.  It used to be free, I thought; it's by Matt Jackson of the blog "Lapsus Calumni" at http://www.msjx.org

Lots of those 24 Hour RPGs have some crazy fun ideas. What gets my attention for EoS is that it has multiple good reviews. I just wonder if it does anything different for an Aliens / Bug Hunt that the rest of my collection doesn't.

Yeah I know, I shouldn't think twice before spending $1 on a RPG, but
all the free shit on the web has spoiled me so badly. Seriously, the OSR unending mountain of free goodies has made me a brat.

Spinachcat, look at the listing again.  I mentioned this thread to Matt; Edge of Space is now PWYW.
