This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

If I had bucks to burn, I'd be going for the Palace of the Silver Princess print negatives!  (holy crap).  If that item goes for less than 2k I'll eat my hat*.

I'd also love to get that letter on the 2e revisions, just to see what was going through their minds.

* I don't wear a hat

EDIT:  there is some other pretty cool sounding stuff in that lot, like this.  I'd love to see how the game developers personally envisioned their games - not for mass market appeal, but to suit whatever whims they might've had.

Oh wow. I hadn't seen that.

Oh man. The Origins Of The Hobby.

The Gameworld = one dude's mad scribblings.* What did ever make us buy somebody else's metaplots?

*Anyone care to buy mine?

Lord Hobie

That redhead in a couple of those pics is SMOKING hot.  Who is that?

Lord Hobie

Gronan of Simmerya

Don't know who the redhead is, but she's fine looking.  I had left Lake Geneva for good by then.

Man, it is time to dig out my old gaming shit and sell it off.  Warriors of Mars, anyone?
You should go to GaryCon.  Period.

Dude, are you always such a douche?

Seriously I find that kind of shit pretty neat.  Can't afford to buy it, but I would if I could.

Yes, the chixxor was hawt, but what really got my pulse racing was that peg-board rack holding all those old (or new I guess) pocket games. I used to HAVE most of those, and I remember ALL of them. And I want them. NOW.

Once a geek always a geek, I guess.

God, I'm getting old, aren't I? Wahhhhhh!

Just Jim Ward.  Those pictures are about 1980, and I'd stopped hanging around much by 1976.  I moved to Minneapolis in 1973 and just returned less and less often.

Dude.

That was a ringing endorsement. I love that shit. Why do you think I started the thread to begin with?

We need that *shakeshead* icon from the CotI boards.

This is my fourth comment. I deleted the first three.

Let´s just say I really really dig the 70ies, 80ies and first half of the nineties photographs of RPG-folks.

Fuck.  My bad.  It was early in the morning, yadda yadda... I'm sorry.  I somehow misread it.  Chalk it up to: dumb. :haw:

(edit: for whatever reason, I read it as being mocking and was wondering if you made the initial post as a snark.)
