I got my DF Kickstarter for Caverns, and I'mnot too happy with all the talky bits parts of the Dragon Queen Campaign I'm running, so I've inserted an adventure or two.
Anyway, the players are guarding a caravan. During the night, a whole wagon was stolen, and the players must get the contents back. They're provided with an inventory (144 torches, 40 planks of wood, 50 pig iron bars, 40 vials of solvent, 30lb bag of nails, 75lbs of flour, and some other stuff I can't recall), and have to recover it.
The wagon tracks lead to a cavern at the top of some sea cliffs (bear with me), and nearby villagers report there have been all sorts of crazy thefts recently.
In the players go. The entrance (man, it takes FOREVER to upload pics today):

Little do the adventurers know that this is a large complex (there's a lower level, too, not pictured):

They find a mushroom filled cave, with a few troglodytes (only have a half hour to upload pics, so just doing the highlights, hope I get enough):

They also find some heavily armored troglodyte guards. Hmm, who would put armor on trogs? The sounds of chanting can be heard from the next room:

Past the cavern is a pool room:

The room is filled with Kuo-toa, chanting praises to the "Undying God, the one who survived and Must Be A God". There are some crocodiles here. The players attack.
Past the room is a stone arch bridge, with a basket and winch mechanism (not pictured, ain't nobody got time for that) that lowers into a deep, deep, chasm.
The players move on to the next room and find some of the inventory, but not all of it. There's also a basilisk here, that manages to petrify the 200 hp (or so it seems) shape-changing level 4 druid...they de-petrify her with the handy gullet oil in the basilisk.
The players decide to send 2 of them down into basket (instead of just tossing a torch to see how deep the chasm is). It's 5 rounds down, 5 rounds up.
They send the basket up...and a troll appears! (The Kuo-toa had been tossing things down the pit...the trolls naturally could survive, so they figured it must be their new god).
Normally, a troll is problematic for lower level characters, because of that whole regeneration thing. I got around that by putting plenty of acid and fire sources in the inventory of the wagon.
But, no need. The warlock has an infinite use cantrip that does damage and shuts down regeneration. Also, the druid has an infinite use fire cantrip that likewise shuts down regeneration. A non-cantrip class character did realize after a few rounds, but at that point it was moot.
And, finally, the picture has uploaded.
Anyway, the players defeat the troll, and recover the inventory. Back to the regularly scheduled adventure!

The gargoyle is very resistant to damage in 5e...I kinda miss needing a magic weapon. I also miss magic weapons.
