This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

For my game (we're really getting there now!) Dwarf women don't have beards.  Instead, they wear their hair in long braids.  They're also more slender than the men.

dsivis

I compromised.

In my Eberron game, Dwarven women have sideburns that are the same texture as the rest of their hair, and sometimes a wispy moustache, goatee, "soul patch" or beard along the jawline. As Dwarves in Eberron are very cosmopolitan, they tend to shave very frequently when among other races.

And their leg hairs! To think I feel sorry for human women who shave their legs!

I usually assume the same as Stuart.

I hate dwarves, though.

In the real world, dwarven women have beards. You can make up whatever nonsense you want in a fantasy game, I guess, but if you want your game to be realistic, dwarven women should have beards.

No bearded Dwarven women IMC either.

Beards, as per both Tolkien and Gygax. :)
In order to qualify as a roleplaying game, a game design must feature:

1. A traditional player/GM relationship.
2. No set story or plot.
3. No live action aspect.
4. No win conditions.

Don't like it? Too bad.

I like WoW's dwarves.  Not only do they not have beards, but they can actually be rather hot.

But that's partly because they remind me of someone else I know.

I've never definitively made the decision, but I once DM'd for a player whose dwarven cleric insisted on addressing every beardless person he met as "madam".

Dr Rotwang!

I'll decide when a dwarf enters my game.  Since I'm currently running either D6 Fantasy or Traveller, depending upon who shows up, the chances are kinda iffy.

No dwarves, no dilemma. If there were, there would be no dilemma either: dwarven women definitely have beards, and rather large ones!
