This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

A couple of White Wolf offerings (including the excellent Block By Bloody Block sandbox for Hunter: The Vigil) (...) I am very excited, and very close to ordering Pendragon 5.1, and maybe the excellent Block By Bloody Block (a sandbox of sorts for Hunter: The Vigil) as well.
OK. Butcher or anybody else. Tell me more about BbBB.

BbBB is broken down in several chapters, each detailing a location in an unspecified city (e.g. The University, The Housing Project, etc.).

For each location, they stat up a supernatural threat, and throw in a few hooks.

It's a very barebones deal, and leaves you a lot of room to come up with as much detail as you like.

I owe it in PDF, and it's well worth the US$7, especially if you have a game coming up and you haven't had the time to stat up the "monster of the week". And since it's light on rules, it might make a good resource for most modern-day horror or urban fantasy RPGs.

Benoist

Oh. Sounds good. So it's like a district per district sandbox, each with a theme/threat to it, in other words?

The Butcher

Yeah, pretty much.

And since it's barebones, it's easily adaptable to the city of your choice, be it Chicago, Paris or Rio.
