This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Fucking A, I put my heart out on the table and what do I get for it?  A goddamn Zen parable and questions about money.  I done with this thread.  It's starting to make me crazy.

What I want it know is did he know that parable before he read it in "Horizon: Stronghold of Hope"

I really should have taken the tack in this thread that I did in the "Why are you on his dick?" thread:

The only winner is the one who does not participate.

Quote from: Consonant DudeNah, I simply don't feel it's worth it to call each individual asshole on his childish and cowardly behavior.

At this point, I'm simply wondering where the hell I'm going to find a decent RPG forum because everywhere I look, it just doesn't cut it.
But mate, here at least you get to talk to me! At least I argue and talk with you, in other places they just abuse you, or after two posts get bored with the conversation and wander off.

Here at least one person talks to you like an adult!

His using the parable shows again that he is a cocksmock.

"Mate, you did something deceitful, and upset me a bit."
"So? Here's a parable which says you should just forget about it. Let it go, you pussy."

What a cocksmock.

Oh, and he's nice in real life? Bully for him! Who cares? All we know is what a person presents online. If someone thinks I'm a dickhead because of my words, which I was able to type, spellcheck, edit for content, take as long as I needed to write up - well then it's my fault they think I'm a dickhead. I can't piss and moan and say, "but it's just my woooords! Let it go, like the Zen monk said!"

Of course, if he writes a game which I think me and my group will enjoy, I'll still buy it. Luckily, I haven't had to do that yet. No game I've enjoyed or been interested in has the Wickhead as its sole or primary authour.

Oh, I guarantee that in relative terms Dell's lack of customer savvy has been far, far less damaging to their business prospects than some of your commentary on this site has been to yours.

I think Mythus has done worse that Wick on this one. Wick may have pissed many people off online, but atleast he has not in anyway come off as a pervert.

Not quite.

Communication is a two-way process. The sender's responsibility is to send as clear a message as possible. The receiver's responsibility is to translate the information with as little prejudice as possible.

If either side fails, communication fails. In other words, sometimes prejudice rests on the receiver's end, which lifts responsibility of miscommunication from the sender.

Of course, failure can occur on the other end as well, but communication requires clarity on both ends, not just on the sender's end, as you have suggested.

Yeah.  I must say that while I think Wick is a dick, at least he's not a pederast.
