So, what elements would you want in an age of wonder type bronze age/age of wonders type D&D game. I'm thinking about making a large amount of the monsters dire animals. Also, spears replacing swords as most common weapon.
What else?

If you're including Grecian elements, then there needs to be a strong focus on beauty. Heroes were beautiful. Maidens were beautiful. If you were ugly, then you were marked by the gods as evil (or you simply could never become a hero).

It should be obvious that the gods have a more hands on approach to events in the world. They won't necessarily manifest in front of you, but their agents (maybe planestouched or half celestial/infernal) run wild and their words are for those willing to give the proper respect, and woe to you if you don't!
Ghosts are not just scary, they are a link to your ancestors and their wisdom. Speak with the Dead would be fairly common among the used spells.
