Wow. Your games must have been really gritty. It was treasure what really gave experience, not killing monsters.
Grając zaś w grę komputerową, być może zdarzyło się wam zapragnąć zejść z wyznaczonej przez autorów ścieżki i, miast zabić smoka i ożenić się z księżniczką, zabić księżniczkę i ożenić się ze smokiem.

Nihil sine magno labore vita dedit mortalibus.

And by your sword shall you live and serve thy brother, and it shall come to pass when you have dominion, you will break Jacob's yoke from your neck.

For the most part.

The highest level character I had in AD&D through continuous play for years was 15th level.

My AD&D 'sweet spot' is 4-8 level of play; although I have a terrible fondness for 1-3 level of play as well.

What I think might be great fun but I have never done is to play 0 level characters and see where it goes. I think I would have done it already but I haven't quite liked any implementation I have seen yet. (It was a long time ago mind).

It's fun if you have the right mindset.  Luckily, it only took 500 XP to reach 1st level.  The module N4: Treasure Hunt was designed specifically to play 0-level characters who achieve 1st level.  Also, the supplement Greyhawk Adventures has rules for playing 0-level characters in the Greyhawk milieu.

I thought there were rules in Greyhawk and Unearthed Arcana. They conflicted so I was confused in the end and didn't use anything. Never knew that had a module and supplement for it though, that's cool.:)

The rules in N4 and Greyhawk Adventures are definitely different - I'd go with the ones in N4, myself.  BTW, N5 also suggests 0-level PCs (although it refers you to N4 for the rules).

I am assuming the N designation is a module of some kind so what's their names? Might just look for them on the REAL cheap.:)

Ah, yes.  N4 Treasure Hunt, N5 Under Illefarn.  (The very first FR modules, as it happens.)

Future reference, you can always look up module codes here:

http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/modcode.html

Edit:  I'm actually running N5 now, and it's a great little mini-campaign - it depends on the contrivance that the PCs are all members of the local militia, but we've already played around with the assumptions a bit, there.  (The PCs immediately earned themselves some latrine duty for their handling of the first mission, haha.)  Comes with a very well-described base town, a nice set of wilderness encounters, a few overland missions, and a lovely little dungeon (inhabited by a few feuding factions, lots of interesting opportunities for roleplaying, here).

Sounds fun. I just have to find RS1 Red Sonya Unconquered, I mean seriously?

We tried using the Greyhawk Adventures rules once in a 2E game a looong time ago (near when I first started playing) and I ended up with a character who had 18s in every stat except Charisma. With the number of APs everyone gets to buy stat points, I imagine that would happen a lot. Didn't use it again after that, although I love the concept of starting at 0-level.

N5: Under Illefarn is a great campaign start module.  I had a great time using it in my AD&D FR games, and used it for multiple campaigns.

My experience with 1/2e has been all sandbox.  Mostly with published settings, I honestly can say I have never played a module except for "The Keep Beyond The Borderlands". My question is who is it about?

I never use modules on the rare times I'm talked into GMing though most my experience comes from Mage, both systems and Palladium Fantasy.  I've done Dnd a little mostly 3e but not much. Now I run FC whenever I find players and play PF when I have time. :)

N5: Under Illefarn

It details the frontier town of Daggerford which is located some distance from Waterdeep, but close enough to go there for some city adventuring.  There are several small situations presented for encounters, and there is the actual 'module' part itself in which the character explore a dwarven quarry from a collapsed kingdom that once ruled the area.

In one of my runs of it, I had an all dwarven party led by Korin Ironaxe to reclaim the crown and glory of the earlier dwarven kingdom in the area.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fairly detailed frontier town for a campaign start and base of operations. :)

Sounds cool, now I just have to get a group together and say..."you're all playing elves". This could be seriously fun....I kid, jeez is it against the law for Marley to have fun?
