D&D - Are there "typical" spell lists available?

I've gone on and on about how I love having stat blocks for NPCs ready-made and at my fingertips. I've slowly tried to assemble a collection of them, ones that cover any number of stereotypes/archetypes, from city guards to cat burglars to court wizards.

One of the things I was wondering is if there are spell lists out there somewhere that present a typical "spells prepared" list for the various spellcasting classes of different levels. I'd especially like to see such lists for the various specialist arcane spellcasting classes. Can anyone point me to anything like this?

Good idea. Let me look...there is a section of "recommended spells" for each level, which is helpful but not exactly what I'm looking for. Plus, they don't deal with any of the specialist wizards. I'm really looking for completely filled out "prepared spells."

If you find one, let us know.  

The main thing that irks me about most character generators is that you often wind up with goofy/useless spells.  It be nice to have a quick list to drop in instead.

What a great idea.  This would save me a bunch of time.

It'd be nice if it were semi-random, but I'm completely down with simple, customizable lists.

Yeah, that's what I had in mind. The DMG2 has a "master wizard" (Wizard 13/Archmage 5) NPC which has a spell list for a generalist and one specialist, a conjurer. Additional lists could be extrapolated from them, but I was hoping to find some for the other specialists before doing them myself.

I seem to recal WotC having something like that on their site a couple years ago.  "Generic" spellbooks for NPCs in .pdf downloads.

That's a good start. What I was hoping to find were "spells prepared" lists for each of the specialists, as well as the generalists and the divine spellcasters. But this is a good thing to have, regardless.
