This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quick question I haven't seen properly answered before:

I notice that since you can bash with shields, you can choose to enhance them as a magical weapon.

So if you have the two-weapon defense feat and your off-hand weapon grants a +1 shield bonus to your AC, can you enhance your off-hand weapon as a shield?

No.

's not official or anything, but being able to do so would make no sense at all.

How about a pair of bucklers, one strapped to each forearm?  :D

+1 to AC (each) and you can still carry a weapon in that hand.

No. It's not a shield, just something that gives a shield bonus. You also couldn't enhance the force effect created by the Shield spell with enchantments for shields, even though it also gives a shield bonus.

Some good points. Thanks.

While that's funny, I doubt I would do that, since each would impose a -1 penalty on attacks rolls and the AC bonus would be negated for the round whenever I attack.
