This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Thanatos02

I've played it, ran it, and would do both again.
God in the Machine.

Here's my website. It's defunct, but there's gaming stuff on it. Much of it's missing. Sorry.

I've got a blog. Do you read other people's blogs? I dunno. You can say hi if you want, though, I don't mind company. It's not all gaming, though; you run the risk of running into my RL shit.

Quote from: architect.zeroWoTC should really consider giving the game the "Saga Edition" treatment.

I think that's what they plan to do and I would be okay with that.

It's strange that this game doesn't get talked about a lot.  I hear it's pretty popular at cons.  Other than a few gripes, I find it extremely functional for modern day no-to-low magic games. I think the spell lists and spell rules (upon rules upon rules) are what turned me away from 3.5E and to more compact games like Iron Gauntlets (or possibly FtA!).  I like quick combats and I HATE having to flip back and forth through pages during gameplay.

I'm currently running an X-files-type investigative horror game using d20M with a group that has never played any d20 game before.  Strangely, so far, I found the biggest barrier for them to be the character sheet.  I'm surprised no one (that I've seen) has made a more streamlined version of it.  All the "show your work" stuff under skills, BAB, etc. makes it look like a technical manual.

If your interested in D20 modern check out the forum in my sig.  It's got several members that are rather big into creating PDF's for the D20 modern and there is also links to the Accidental Survivors which is (as far as I know) the only podcast dedicated to D20 modern.

There are also some military guys on there that have put up some major - major information on real military units and equipment for the D20 modern crowd.
AccidentalSurvivors.com : The blood will put out the fire.

That's definitely cool.  I'll have to check that out.

Thanks!
