This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Chaosium has done a good job mining Lovecraft and his followers for every drop of Mythos goodness.

Has there been a book on the Great Race?   They could be interesting.

I know someone who was doing a translation of a Japanese monograph about CoC in the Samurai years.   I am unsure if that was finished.    He did a demo at the local con and it was a hit.

My buddy always wanted to write Cavemen Cthulhu: Encounters with a slightly less ancient evil.

Something about the Vatican, or how the main religions may be infected by the Mythos, even if only locally.
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

That one would be a very good choice!

Specially if they don't go the oWoD road of "Everyone at the Vatican is EEEEEVVVUUUUULLLL". But a small cult within the Catholic Church, with a bit of influence would be nice. Small enough to have to hide or be crushed, big enough to cause trouble to PCs.

Same goes for any other religion, of course. I simply happen to be more familiar with the Catholic Church.

A very cool idea, but dependent upon the now-very-disparate Pagan Publishing fellas.  Then again, they've sorted out their issues to put out Secrets of Mesoamerica recently, so who knows?

I can't recall who just off hand, but I know that someone was working on just such a project.  It wasn't CthulhuTech...was it also the Pagan boys?

!i!

[Edit: It was Pagan Publishing -- they had plans for putting out a product called End Times.  Some of the unpublished work by one of the authors was released here.
Also, there's the whole Cthulhu Rising setting material, available both in monograph and by download.]

It would be interesting, indeed, to see the multiferous Hindu pantheon viewed through the lens of the Mythos.  In fact, I think it's fair to suggest that it already has to some degree or another (e.g. Ganesha --> Chaugnar Faugn).

Silverlion

Isn't Cthulhu Rising the sci fi monograph to do that already?

I'd like to do my Cthulhu-Supers game (supers are all spawned of various Yog-Sothery things.)

Ian, interesting spin on Hindu mythology. Something which I admit didn't occur to me - strange. Another sourcebook that I think would be interesting is something set in Thailand. About backpackers !
