Title: cross-game/cross-genre stuff?
Post by: beeber on October 27, 2007, 08:45:12 PM
who else has indulged in this?  once i got comfortable with the MT rules (basically the skills & task system) i just went "doctor who" on shit and allowed access to other systems as different dimensions or playgrounds.

folks had fun going from traveller to d&d to battletech to car wars, etc.  of course the core settings got fucked up in the process, but since all had a good time it didn't matter.  it was fun for them to do some crazy shit (like blow up the moon in the car wars universe) and then come back and see what had transpired.  tested my ability to wing stuff, for sure.

has anyone else had the fun of doing this?

Being a Palladium junkie, I've seen Robotech mixed with Rifts, Palladium Fantasy run into a Heroes Unlimited campaign (sorta rough when your superhero has to contend with ward magic), and we've combined After the Bomb with Beyond the Supernatural for I guess what you'd call "TMNT Meets The X-Files".

Being a White Wolf Junky, I see a few aeons that could crossover readily:

The Dragon Kings (see Exalted PG)
Exalted - First Age
Exlated - Age of Sorrows
Requiem for Rome
Dark Ages
Adventure! (pulp setting, 1920s)
oWoD or nWoD
Time of Judgement
SCION or Aberrant
Trinity
maybe even EVE, eventually (though I kind of doubt it)
