This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

A few couches (or chairs)

Enough dice for everybody, enough books to roll on.

That's it...I can't think of any way to improve my games :)

The ideal would definitely be:

(1) feel like a local pub, but not actually be as noisy/public as one
(2) and yet be well lit in places, but not like game-store flourescent
(3) have couches, feeling like a comfy non-pretentious cafe
(4) and perhaps still feeling that it's lived in, like someone's living room, but without too much distraction attached

Man, each of those is contradictory on their own, let alone putting them together. But I can *kinda* see how it would feel. Maybe once one of my sites gets bought out by google (SPOILER: never ever happening ever) I can set up a gaming pub in the back shed.

Actually, I do have a friend who has the equivalent of a actual pub in the back of his house, separate from the house itself (SO AWESOME) but I'm not sure if he's up for creating a gamer-bar; and it's not so close to public transportation. Alas.
