While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). Not only is he an Spaniard, he's almost my neighbour. We live in parallel streets.
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

Right, and you, bozo, have Augustus in your profile, when again, you should have Trajan or Hadrian. :p

I mean come on, are you saying these dudes were simply not cool enough for you to have as an avatar??

Trajan, who was called "Optimus", considered by Romans to be only equal to Augustus in greatness; conqueror of Dacia and Parthia:

Hadrian, who constructed Hadrian's wall, governed over the Empire in its most peaceful and prosperous time and fucked young boys (erm.. well, maybe that wasn't one of his best qualities in modern historical retrospect, but hey...Trajan had already done all the hard work) :p

Both of them great Hispanic emperors.

Imperator, you must hate me :o . I owe you a beer.

Should I have chosen Traianus or Hadrianus as a nick? Maybe. They were geographically Iberian, but they were as "Roman" (culturally, not geographically) as Claudius.

Well, done with off-topics, next great non English RPG:

Dzikie Pola!

1st and 2nd edition, respectively. In Dzikie Pola, you're an aristocrat of the XVIIth century Polish Commonwealth. You can fight cossacks, assault your neighbours and sack them, fight the Turk, and get drunk till you fall from your horse. The setting rocks! As a curiosity, Jake Norwood says he used it as an inspiration to write The Riddle of Steel.

That looks awesome, Cladius! Or should we call you "Trajan"? Trajan Sobieski? :p

I wish translators didn't cost five times as much as rpg writers, we could have lots more stuff in English... actually, what am I saying? I wish rpg writers were paid as much as translators! That'd give the same effect, but encourage more rpg writing, so we'd get more translated rpgs, and more rpgs being written in everyone's native languages, too!

Is it just me, or do these non-Engish-language rpgs have better cover art than the English-language ones?

Indeed, motherfucker :D

The game looks awesome, but... can you read in Polish? Or is there an English version?

Why aren't more RPGs translated into English?

1. The English speaking market doesn't need them. More RPG material is written in English than in all other languages together. If you are a monolingual English speaking gamer, you can still have access to tons of fine games.

2. RPGs don't make a lot of money. So, if you want to translate an RPG, you have to pay the translator poorly (which is what is done in Spain, and if you pay poorly, the translation is poor), or not translate at all.

Not knowing foreign languages sucks. There are several RPGs I know I would like, like for example Eon, but my not knowing Swedish stops me from getting it :( . Time to learn Swedish, sucker!! :haw:

In fact, if I didn't know any English, I'd be stuck with the few RPGs that are translated into Spanish, a few Spanish RPGs, and that's all.

QuoteIs it just me, or do these non-Engish-language rpgs have better cover art than the English-language ones?
Some non English RPGs have better covers, and others have worse covers. Sometimes, much worse
