So as some of you saw I got some loot, pictured in this thread: http://www.therpgsite.com/showthread.php?t=25731
My last minute additions are - 3e Eberron campaign setting, 3e Forgotten realms setting and Dr. Who Adventures in time and Space
Anyway, games:
Thursday I played in a Dr. Who game. We ended up going back in time and saving some Cathars during the Albigensian Crusade. Some serpent person was trapped on earth at that time and had suckered in a bunch of Weeping Angels to drain their power and refill her ship. The master also showed up (as Simon De Montfort) and was scheming to force the doctor to watch him throw Cathars down a well at a "fixed point". Anyway long story short we fixed the ship and made a deal with the weeping angels to disappear the Cathars as they fell in the well (fulfilling the fixed point without having them die). It all worked really well. A+
Friday I played in a Hallow Earth game as one of a group of Hallow Earth Amazon's investigating some disappeared villagers. We ended up going underground and fighting molemen controlled by a German mad scientist who had gotten stuck trying to drill into the hallow world. The game was fast and smooth, the only sticking point was how damage worked as it seemed a little more complicated that was strictly necessary.
Friday I also played a large Space Hulk game. Did not like.
Saturday morning I was supposed to play Dungeon Crawl classics with one of the creators but slept through it (the auction the night before went to 3AM) :(
Then I got to play in a Star Trek hero clix game. It was fun but I couldn't get over the fact that it uses the SAME RULES AND ABILITIES as regular hero clix, which means you could have the Enterprise fight Spiderman. Also the scale (or lack there of) bugged the shit out of me. Also I lost.
Finally today I got to play Champions with one of the Hero Games guys. It was really good fun, Golden Age supers. The dimension of fairy tales had super imposed itself with Manhattan and we had to subdue the big bad wolf, rescue kids from the gingerbread house and finally return a troublesome star that caused the whole problem to the Queen to set everything right.
Overall a really fun Con and I got to try a few games I've been wanting to for a while :)
Sounds like quite the fun time!
