Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). Want to say LUG's run at Trek had a similar "lifepath," sort of thing; it's been a bit since I cracked those books open.

LUG version is still my go-to for Star Trek.

Unless I'm doing pure space combat, then it is a tie between FASA and SFB.
"Meh."

Not my Star Trek.

Looks like I'll have to put that Savage Worlds Sci-Fi Companion to work when it drops.

Okay, what the Hell 'IS" your "Star Trek" then?

I Don't like the Modiphius game mechanics at al - but I DO love "Star Trek" in just about all versions.
The Modiphius artwork I often find useful to illustrate things in my RPG campaign.

I have NO 'Nerd Rage' or outrage about that cover in any way....

My Star Trek is anything between the Original Series and Enterprise. I do not acknowledge any of the modern silliness, including Picard. I do not have "rage" over the cover. I laugh at it. It looks dumb for the same reasons that modern Star Trek is dumb, as is Star Wars, as is Marvel Comics, as is DC Comics, as are the movies relating to those properties, etc. etc. Take of that what you will.

I'm also not a fan of Modphius system.

Modiphius is frustrating. Their system is terrible, but their production values are fantastic.

I don't think there has been a better Star Trek RPG than the Last Unicorn Games version, but I have to say I played in a LUG Star Trek campaign back in the day and it was not great, even though the GM was really good.

About the production values.  I will say the one thing I didn't like the most about the core rule book was that they basically took the TNG computer-screen style of art and made the entire rulebook look like that.  I just think the colors and art style didn't work for a game rulebook, but that's my personal taste.  I can tell it took them a fair amount of work so its not like they were lazy about it, but I think they put a lot of energy into something that doesn't look good.

I know what you mean but I didn't find it too distracting. The Original Series version of the game book has a much more minimalist layout. I'll just add that anyone getting into LugTrek should be sure to download the extra gamebooks that the author released right before they lost the license. It was the complete starship construction system and a few ship recognition books.

They made a TOS version of the main rulebook? I would have gotten that version if I had known about it.

It's hard to find an extremely expensive in the used market if you want an orint edition.
