This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I was looking through the vintage game rack at the local FLGS and found the WWF Basic Adventure Game staring back at me with a $5 pricetag. I bought it with the intention of it serving as amusing conversation piece on my RPG shelf. Briefly looking through it, its very rules intensive with rules for in ring action, playing to the reactions of the crowd, backstage politics, and everything in wrestling you could imagine. Also has stats for a modest stable of 1993 Wrestling personalities, including Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, and Bret Hart.

I don't really intend to read this in-depth any time soon, but I might be able to convinced otherwise by people pestering me.

On a side note: Picked up a shining pristine copy of the 2E Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting box set at the same time I bought the wrestling book. Its not the 1E Grey Box, but still a nice pickup for $8.

The moveset was really dated even for 1993 fans. I know it was a WWF game, but as a Japan and Mexico wrestling fan even back then (nevermind watching WCW which had a completely different vibe, at least at the beginning of 1993), the game seemed really limited.
