This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I've had little opportunity to take part as a player and would, love the chance. Anyone running anything online and have an opening? I'd be open to a wide range of genres and formats.

Face to face via messenger or some client? or Play by Forum?

I play in an ongoing DCC campaign on alternate Tuesday evenings that just just had a couple people drop out (end of summer), so we're looking for more. Roll20+G-Hangouts.

I'm open to either but will mention I have no issues with a text based exchange. I imagine taking the extra few seconds to type out responses lends a quality to them and avoids the "umm, ok, umm, and now we will umm thing I have watched on many you tubed sessions.

BGG/RPGG has at least two currently running and new ones start up as old ones run to completion. YMMV as to quality. I've never done a PB-Forum RP.

You'd have a lot more success here: http://www.myth-weavers.com/

Google+ can also be pretty good for play by video chat.

In addition to Myth-Weavers, give http://rpol.net/ a look.  On Myth-Weavers it can be a bit difficult to get into games in some of the more popular systems or even some of the lesser used systems, not as much on R-pol.  Both have their pluses and minuses, and more than a few people play on both sites.
