I got the shipping confirmation email on Thursday of my Bones Vampire level rewards on its way and I have been watching the tracking at UPS like a kid watching Santa Claus on NORAD's Christmas Feed. It should be arriving on Monday!
Anybody else hear about their Bones Kickstarter progress or have recieved it yet?
I don't expect to hear on mine until after Reapercon. I'm at Vamp + 5 addons.
Yeah, I have Vamp + a scad (13) of add ons. Want it soon, but not exactly holding my breath.
Some folks on DF have them already. I won't be until the end of the mailings- international with double vamp plus addons and a change of order.
Sigh
Mine are here!
Huzzah!
Pics or it didnt happen.

But be warned, all I have is a cellphone camera.

More unboxing pics as time allows.
Wow, that looks like a lot. How much did you invest?

Just $100 for Vampire level.
I'd say that I've gotten at least $300 worth of miniatures. Well worth the investment.
Got mine late last week and I've been very happy with them so far.
They are a little light, even versus other plastics, so I might base mine on washers to give them some heft.
Also, I didn't realize until they arrived that they don't need to be primed. Which I was doubtful about until I read some reviews of the Bones line and they confirmed it.
Looking at them up close, it's clear that the plastic they've used is better when used on the larger models. The smaller ones can lose a bit of detail here and there, and there are some gaps that must be filled on a couple of the models.
But overall, I'm extremely happy with the investment.
Sweet. I'm still waiting for my package. I don't think I received a mailing invoice yet, now that I think about it... :(

Check the email you gave Kickstarter. Mine was shipped UPS and had a tracking number, I don't know what they will use for shipping in Canada.

Aaaaah good point! I'll check that out. Thanks!

Just remember to wash them in warm soapy water and scub them a bit then allow them to dry before painting. Some models may have the mold release chemical on them which causes paint to slide right off.
Thanks for the pics! A bigger box will be headed my way sooner or later. Is each fig individually wrapped?
Cheers
As an international buyer with heaps of add-ons including paint, I expect mine to turn up later rather than sooner. Love the pics!

Yes. Each of my minis was in its own little plastic baggie. Smaller figures that would normally come together in a blister pack are wrapped together.
Yes, and the smaller bags are lumped together in about five other bags.
I traded my Sophie in for a carrying case. They came together in the same box. I like the case, but most of the models barely fit in the slots. And if I used a thick base for most of them, they wouldn't fit.
I went looking for a case to house my bigger models, but everything at the FLGS was either too expensive or not really what I was looking for.
Are there reasonably priced online options for a case that will let me adjust the foam?
Cases - Reaper's own minis box sets come in pistol cases that are perfect for metal minis - $30/£20 you typically get 6 nice minis and a case easily worth the $15/£10 they sell for separately. Uses eggbox type foam.
For Bones plastics though you don't want those as they'll squish the minis. Just buy a £5/$8 toolbox with lots of compartments, you can put the minis in there sorted into groups. Or clear plastic bags work fine at a pinch.
I finally have enough time to unpack all of the minis from the Kickstarter. I think I got a better deal for my money than I first thought. There are a bunch of good sculpts here and its really about a $500 return for a $100 investment. I've spent an hour now and have only unpacked one bag with about five more bags to go before I'm done.
The only drawback, and a very minor one, is that the plastic is soft enough to bend and some of the minis suffered from "squish" due to packing.
Reaper has got a new customer out of me from this, and I used to really dislike unpainted minis.

This is what I do. You can pick up a fastener organizer with compartments and a carry handle for about $8 to $10 and works great.
Looks like it is gonna be a couple more months before the folks with multiple add ons get their bones. The last ship has yet to leave China!
:(
Oh well, lets hope it has smooth sailing!
I'm actually grateful for that, I'm in the middle of moving and I don't know what I'd do with my C'thulu going through the airlines to hawaii.
Yeah, when the project finished, I was initially thinking April/May since I have a custom order. Now I'm looking at August probably. Oh well. It's dissappointing, but I'm not going to throw a tissy fit over it. Things like this happen when you're manufacturing stuff from scratch and don't already have it in the warehouse.
This looks great. Part of me wishes I had invested in this...but the other part of me looks at my stacks and stacks of unused minis and says "enough". Still, these were a great price, and they look great.

I hear you; I got enough reaper
metal without getting into the plastic ones (unpainted plastic ones that is).

OMG. Same here. My minis haven't arrived yet probably due to the add-ons I got, and I'm not-so-secretly grateful that I have a few more weeks to clear some space. :-)

I can do this thing with painting where I can knock out a really gorgeous mini in like...8-12 hours over the course of 3-4 days...and then not have the gumption to pick up a brush for another four months x-(
Gotta change that.
I'm hoping this weekend I can at least find my Hirst Arts molds. They've been missing ever since we moved a while back, and I'd love to make some scenery to display the new crop of minis in.
I know what you mean. I go on painting binges and then don't go near a brush for eons.
