This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Bloodshadows 2E Cover Ideas

Here's a new map for the upcoming Bloodshadows RPG (drawn by Scott Harshbarger). The game takes place on the world of Marl. The main focus is the continent of Eln. The default city in the main book is Selastos. Leaving Selastos means a dangerous trek to another civilized city. One could travel the scenic route through the Dirak Desert and other parts of the Wilderness, typically finding something nasty waiting for him. Another option is the permanent portal that connects Selastos to Galitia -- of course, creatures may be waiting at this portal for their next meal. Put simply, it is not safe leaving a city.

Took a while, but here's the cover for Bloodshadows 3E (still working on the logo). I hope to get this released by early 2016.

Perfect!  I like it!

Yeah, I do too! The artist, Felipe Gaona, did an amazing job.

I would have the vamp-on-point in an inhuman shade of skin, pallid with feint veining showing through. Then you get the whole vampires and mages helping human detective effect. Very supernatural romance noir.

The female mage as the light source is a subtle nod to magic in the setting without being campy.
Just make your fuckin\' guy and roll the dice, you pricks. Focus on what\'s interesting, not what gives you the biggest randomly generated virtual penis.  -- J Arcane

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

I opted to make the vamp more human-looking - anything else looked campy.
