Forgive me if this has already been posted (I haven't seen it pop up here), but this just recently popped up on my radar, and I thought it was pretty cool!

Yeah that was the most fun I ever had watching a TV commercial. I didn't even understand the dialog. I remember the cartoon that was based on. My mom wouldn't let me watch it, cause D&D = "the Devil".
Cool. I remember that cartoon. Nice find!
That was awesome!
I'm curious, can we consider this the ending to the series?

They did a great job. All the characters were doing their old habits even. I always liked when the mage would look at his hands every time one of his spells worked.

No. Because too much Hand of God is used by the DM.
Mildly entertaining, but why did this get made? Is D&D popular enough in Brazil that the suits would just assume a commercial based a 35 year old children's TV show will sell cars?

Not D&D per se, but from what I've read over the years online, that cartoon has a HUGE following in Brazil, from what I understand the cartoon still plays today and there's licensed merchandise actively produced in that country. Their fondness for it is akin to the fondness many have for something like Scooby Doo here.

That makes my day.

^--- Doesn't know how to role-play in a Brazilian setting.

I'm glad the world has not yet become a monoculture.
And welcome to the board. I assume you're as brave as Eric, and as wise as Bobby.

Well they do have their own retroclone (at least one that I know) and some original systems (Daemon, 3dt+, 4dt+, a 2d6 from Tio Nitro) which is way more than we have here in México.

I wish! Trying my best, though! :D
Thanks!

No; they actually have storyboards and talk about how they were going to resolve the 2nd season in one of the boxed sets.
(Venger was the son of Gamemaster, and would ultimately be proven to be under a powerful curse; breaking the curse, he joins the heroes, and they set up the season 3 BBEG. The kids would also have to choose whether they stay in the world of D&D, or go home, at the end of season 2)
