Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

:D Though there was a period where it seemed he would appear like a vengeful Hastur whenever his name was whispered on fora. So I get your jest. :D

Oh yeah - he's been totally cool to me online. But you know... I've had enough dramas in my personal life (and he gets special dispensation living in LA from me - having lived there in circles not far removed from his) - I get it. I'm not going to judge him (as it's not my business). But Zak is the Candyman of gaming forums. And it cracks me up when he pops off.

Quote from: Spinachcat;1117814ZakS, like everyone else, is very welcome to post on theRPGsite anytime. AKA, free speech is welcome on the free speech forum.

I'd love to hear about his next RPG project. I don't believe he's gone cold turkey as an author.

ZakS's Vornheim city supplement is very good and mainstream OSR. While his "D&D with Pornstars" videos were designed to titillate the "normal" gamers (and thus draw in viewers), his early works are well done OSR / DIY supplements. He's an interesting case where Creator and Created Work are quite different. In his books, ZakS comes off very differently than online.

His online persona completely persuaded me to not check out anything he has done. The whole "D&D with Pornstars" I found to be nothing but TMI.

His work is actually very good, but yeah I cannot blame you as ZakS does his best at making people hate his guts which naturally leads to people refusing to buy his books.  If he was a better person I would guess he would get staunch defenders that Vic has since both are dealing with the "he said she said" bullshit that is the Metoo movement.  Both ladies by the way never bothered to contacted the police who would investigate the charges by the way.

That's not exactly uncommon considering what the internet does to them afterwards.
Battle doesn\'t need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don\'t ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don\'t ask why I fight.

I wouldn't be surprised.
