This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

What's good that has come out in.... say the past year?

I only have them in PDF but I am really digging Barrowmaze II and The God that Crawls.

Anomalous Subsurface Environment 2-3 is really, really great if you are in the mood for gonzo bizarro action.  Want a dungeon with dinosaurs, an underground mutant carnival, necromantic midgets, and a sewage elemental?  Want to find treasure such as s six-string axe that does magic shit when you play Black Sabbath's "Fairies Wear Boots" on it?

If so, this is the module for you.

A Dragonsfoot Review.

Ooh. I don't have it yet but I will have to check it out. I do have a print copy of  The Majestic Wilderlands though and it is freaking awesome.

Appreciate the compliment.

I quite like Matt Finch's (Mythmere's) Demonspore, Spire of Iron and Crystal, and the one about the Shrooms.

Anything my Melan (Gabor Lux) is worth checking out (a lot of which is available for free at his website, or in various issues of Fight On! and Knockspell).
RPG Blog: Akratic Wizardry (covering Cthulhu Mythos RPGs, TSR/OSR D&D, Mythras (RuneQuest 6), Crypts & Things, etc., as well as fantasy fiction, films, and the like).
Contributor to: Crypts & Things (old school \'swords & sorcery\'), Knockspell, and Fight On!

In the last year? Beneath the Ruins and Many Gates of the Gann. I'd guess that ASE2-3 is good also, but haven't seen it.

My favorites of the new old school adventurers.

I think that Expeditious Retreat Press' combo of Advanced Adventures (AA) #1 "Pod Caverns of the Sinister Shroom" (by Matt Finch), and its direct sequels AA#23 "Down the Shadowvein" and AA#24 "Mouth of the Shadowvein" (by Joe Browning) make a nice starter campaign that leads into an underearth hexcrawl.  Lots of room for a DM to plug in their own lairs and encounters, and a fun setup.

It's like D1-3 for levels 1-5.

I really like Barrowmaze II.  The book is amazing and the foldout poster map incredible. I showed it to my buddy and he thought it was beautiful.

RPGPundit

I loved reading the pod caverns, but my players didn't much end up enjoying playing it. Or rather, it tired them out after a few sessions.

I did enjoy it as well, the players not so much. I based my list off of the top 3 we have done this past year.
