No one reads my blog. Says so there in the title!

Um...not sure what else to add from what I've already been posting, other than the next books slated for review are the Darwin's World Campaign Guide (Savage Worlds), Mutant Future and Mutant Epoch.

I really dig Reclamation, because of both the character options and the inherent optimism in the setting. The card-based system and White Wolf style Health system may turn some folks off, though...but if you wanna do post-apocalyptic and not spend much money, Atomic Highway (which is free now) and Irradiated Freaks seems hard to beat.

Darwin's World can basically serve as a post-apocalyptic toolkit for Savage Worlds, but the setting itself isn't anything special, so if you're not into Savage Worlds, there are better options out there (like the two mentioned above).

Atomic Highway, particularly, seems well suited for both "basic" PostApoc (like Mad Max) or crazy, After The Bomb like stuff (using Irradiated Freaks).

Atomic Highway is really awesome for Mad Max, add in Irradiated Freaks and some optional rules and you can do Gamma World with a grittier yet cinematic system (lower tech mostly though.)

I missed Reclamation, but I've seen reviews the others.

I've run Atomic Highway in my "Purgatory Road" setting for around a year (give or take) the players have had a blast for the most part. Its high weird at times though.

If/when the book with the alternate apocalypses comes out, I would imagine that there will be SOMETHING usable between the "Rise of the Machines" and "Alien Invasion" apocalypses for higher tech level...(I could be wrong, though).

Oh yeah. I imagine they're will be, but I made up my own. Since Purgatory Road setting is well highly weird. Its a Purgatory after all, it absorbs things from all kinds of apocalypses.

From Lift Cars, and Thread Cannons, on down to muscle cars. Of course the important aspects of Purgatory Road are the fact that well demons stalk the badlands, and one can forge HellEngines that bind ones soul to something, and become truly terrible is they fuel themselves in nasty nasty ways. Plus the Ghost Train that needs no rails goes where it will to claim souls for their final rest. Chain them together and carry them to Hell, or Ride the High Rails to Heaven.

Its a fun place with multiple meaning and while some of it looks clear? It ain't.

I could give the long form and describe the nature of corkbotle realities and collapsed continuum and how they look like the Sephiroth, but that just be a might bit confusing without playing in the setting.

Can they be cross converted? Lets just say I get AH but like SW. Am I screwed?

Edit: I mean convertable by dumb girls, not game geeks like you two.  No offense intended.:)

I figure anything can be converted if you try hard enough. I don't know if Atomic Highway has anything in it that you couldn't do in Savage Worlds with Darwin's World and Savage Worlds Deluxe Edition.

On the other hand, Reclamation gets a lot hairier when you're combining mages, "perfect people", "lucky people", cyborgs and people that are essentially archetypes (vampires, etc) (if you're not wanting to use the system it's written in)...but Savage Worlds has a better framework for that than Atomic Highway does.

And Tim's totally Designer Guy in this thread...even for conversions my method is "talk about it until someone else decides to do it, then ask for a copy of their work"...=)

Atomic Highway is simple, and done in broad stroke, I'm not sure there is a lot to convert there. Irradiated Freaks humanoid critter rules, perhaps.

I've only seen reviews of the others. (Being poor.)

I suspect as long as you convert the ideas and not the specifics you'd be fine, and I don't believe you are a dumb girl Marley. I simply refuse to believe it.

I'm not but it's easier for others to assume so. Bad habit I guess.  So serious now would it be hard to convert the games into D10 or more specifically into NWoD stuff? I'm not a mechanics girl but broad strokes I grok. And NWoD I know and am comfortable with.

I assume nothing. I was actually paranoid that I had implied that you were stupid somewhere...=P

Converting to d20 or nWoD? I dunno. I do know that Darwin's World was originally released for...some version of d20. d20 Modern or Modern20 or something.

Actually meant D10 or NWoD. And no Tommy I never assumed you thought I was stupid.  Sorry for the confusion,  the dumb act is part of my IRL defense.  Again I apologize.

What's Darwin's World? And the other you mentioned.

Darwin's World was (apparently) originally released for "regular" d20, then re-released for d20 Modern, then for Savage Worlds. So most of the d20 work is done for you already. Set on the "Twisted Earth", blasted with nukes and biological weapons that are killing the planet. I am in no way familiar with the d20 versions, though the Savage Worlds Player's Guide is almost good enough to serve as a toolkit for PostApoc Savage Worlds games. I linked to basically every Darwin's World PDF ever above...=) I think at least part of the stuff is available in print off of their site, too.

Sounds workable, and this "Reclaimation"? Sounds like if you want to do something similar to Deadlands?

Wait, you said this stuff is D20? This means I can convert for Fantasy Craft no heavy lifting? Awesome.:D

Atomic Highway's stuff is pretty easy, albeit damage and such will need eyeballing since it already is a d6 pool system. (Target Number is 6) and most things have 5 levels IIRC (I could look but the book is all the way over there...!)

The car stuff is self contained enough to work on its own, and be added into other materials.

I think Darwin's World is pretty easy to adapt as, they've done it a lot. :D
