This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Anything good come out lately?

I haven't picked up a new gaming stuff in a few months. Any new RPGs come out in the last few months or coming out soon?

I have SAGA Edition, and it rocks.

Mongoose put out Slaine under the new Runequest rules.  I just got the book last week.  I realize the new rules aren't everyones cup of tea but Slaine seems pretty well suited for them.

They also did updated versions of Hawkmoon and Elric which are good (I'm still a huge fan of the Chaosium version however).

Well, I had thought about getting Slaine back in the day but i'm not the biggest fan of d20. Maybe I'll take a second look. :D

I wrote and designed Dread: The First Book of Pandemonium, a d12-based game of modern horror-action. The Pundit has agreed to review the game, so I'm anticipating that. In the meantime, it got a 9 out of 10 at RPG.net, for what that's worth.

This new boardgame TANNHAUSER by Fantasy Flight Games.

It could SO easily be transformed into the start of an RPG campaign. The game even includes 10 pre-pained miniatures meant for use in the game that are already 25mm scale.

Only bad part is the price: $59.95 MSRP.

Take a look: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/tannhauser.html

That thing would also make a very interesting parallel for thev INFINITE WORLDS that SJG publishes.

Correct. This is a completely different game. Dread, by the Impossible Dream, is a horror game that can take place in a variety of different settings, and its core mechanic is based on the Jenga-block tower.

My RPG, Dread: The First Book of Pandemonium, is a d12-based game about modern-day demon-hunters who use black magic to bring down their prey.

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about it, either here or via PM, whichever you prefer.

That's what I thought, Raphael. Thanks!

I don't know if you'd consider it "good" Mike - that's yours to decide, not mine - but I've got a bunch of stuff out recently. If you want to review, let me know.
