Yes, Record of Lodoss War is one of my favorites since the entire OVA (and later TV series) is based upon a guy's Basic D&D campaign.

Considering that the thread was originally posted in the main gaming forum, my first thought was that the OP meant Open Versatile Anime, which is an RPG. Looking for information on running a Soul Eater campaign with that, perhaps?

On one hand I suspect it refers to the RPG. Named OVA, which I own and was going to get the second edition of when it comes out. Its sweet, simple RPG with a focus on handling anime action.

On the other hand it can also refer to Original Video Animation. Which would make it inappropriate to the games forum.

I know nothing of Soul Eater, however, other than it is an Anime TV series.

OVA = Open Versatile Anime.

It's an RPG system, with version 2 currently under development.

There's reviews out and about for OVA v1 (just google-fu it).

It's very reminiscent of BESM 2-3, less fiddly. I'm really looking forward to the new edition.

I liked 1e BUT, it wasn't exactly my cup of tea. Some of the changes talked about in 2e could make this my go to one shot system.  Check out the blog for more details.
