This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Any suggestions for someone jumping off the Paizo sh!tshow lol

They're not doing lorebooks because Golarion 1e is already written. What Savage Pathfinder does is give you the leanest version of Pathfinder 1e with an entirely new system to run it on. It doesn't go deep into Pathfinder lore, because you can pick and choose what you want to include with your own PF1e books. It gives you just enough to run Golarion as a sandbox, and they're making all the Pathfinder APs for those that want them.

By your criteria, you like Golarion, you hate the woke stuff they put into it, now you can enjoy the stuff you like without the stuff you don't on a system that scales *way* better than native 3.x d20. In Savage Pathfinder you can actually play up to the equivalent of 15-20th level (and technically beyond that) with far less clutter and ease.

They have the Savage Worlds Pathfinder Core book, the Advanced Players Guide 1 and 2, two Bestiaries, and Curse of the Crimson Throne AP, and Rise of the Runelords AP.

If you want lore, you can simply use your PF1 books to provide it. All the mechanics you need to make it work are in the SWP books.

Quote from: Dave 2 on December 24, 2024, 08:30:31 PMACKS II ticks all your boxes. You'll also want the Auran Empire Primer and probably a few of the adventures for all the lore, as the setting is assumed as default but not forced on you by the core rulebook. (Something like how Traveller assumes an interstellar empire, but the Third Imperium takes other books.)

ACKS has a reputation as overly complex, but I've run a simpler campaign with it just by not feeling compelled to use all the back of the book chapters when I didn't need them. It started life as a modified B/X, so it's more compatible with other OSR games than it's sometimes given credit for.

Only downside is II seems to be pdf only now that we're past the kickstarter.

I pretty sure you can still get a physical copy. The original ACKS 2 kickstarter was done and people could ping Alex on the discord and get in on that after it closed. Plus the new Treasure Tomb KS allowed you to order physical books of ACKS 2 in addition to the new book, so if they wanted to go this route they should jump on the discord and see he's still doing the same thing.

Lore books for Savage Pathfinder aren't really necessary.  There's plenty of Golarion lore stuff for Pathfinder and the lore parts are not system dependent.  You can use the voluminous lore stuff published for Pathfinder or use the wiki.

You might want to check out the Dungeon Dwellers Roleplaying Game.  I can't personally vouch for it, but it looks pretty good and I'm considering buying it.
I know how the illegals feel. I'm an alcoholic & they keep setting up these random DUI checkpoints. You have no idea what a chilling effect this has had on the alcoholic community. I know people who are too terrified to even drink & drive anymore. I am literally shaking... mostly in my hands...
