This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Any Dnd 5e compatible Thieves world style city setting out there?

Due out probably around GenCon will be the DCC version of Lankhmar which might be easier to convert to 5e. I've been doing it the other way (AD&D stuff to DCC) for freshi-sh material for my DCC game.

I'm really looking forward to that DCC Lankhmar book. It ought to be great.

Quote from: danskmacabre;1032705It's not 5e specific.
I just don't really like Savage worlds as a system. So it just lose interest when something is using Savage worlds.
Ah yes, if you don't want a pulpy cinematic game, then Savage Worlds is not what you want. (I'm a big fan of 80s action movies so my characters working along those rules super appeals to me)

The others I've talked to actually liked the system, they just felt like they invested too much into 5e to be able to change and would rather end the campaign rather than move from the mechanics getting in the way.

One 5e campaign converted to Pathfinder after level 9 and concluded.

I have yet to have a campaign that finished in 5e, but our group also likes higher "levels" which means we leave the sweet spot of levels 1-3 in 5e pretty quickly.
