This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

How much $$$/month do you spend on RPGs?

This isn't something measured in $/month.  I don't have any subscriptions and I tend to collect core books, not supplements.  My collection is broad, not deep.  I suppose that it's only about $25/month though, when averaged across a whole year.

I might be signing up for D&D Insider in the future and that'll be the first time I've ever subscribed to gaming material.  Still up in the air though.

When it's averaged out, I spend about 20$ per month.  I'll go some months without buying something, some months just pick up some artwork and once in a while, splurge on e-bay.

It varies, but likely averages out to less than $20.00 per month.  Indeed I'm trying to get rid of some of the books I already own.

I guess I'm at an age where (a) my gaming time is more limited and (b) I already own most of the games and supps that I want anyway.

It's really variable.  I'll go for a while without buying anything, and then buy a few different things within the same month.

My replacement Moldvay Expert D&D Rulebook and B5: Horror on the Hill just arrived today! :haw:

That's my problem - I didn't buy anything (I got a gift in June) for months - and then I blew a nice chuck of change a week or so ago.

I consider a fairly rapid rate of purchase to be one book every three months.  So that would be about $17 per month at most.

I buy in streaks. For instance when we decided to play D&D 3.5e, I bought in one month 2 PhB, 1 PhB II, 1 DMG, MM1, MM2, MM3, UA, Masters of the Wild, The Complete Arcane, The Complete Adventurer and the Arms and Equipment guide. All used, and for about 200 dollars total.

Before that my last major purchase in a year was when we played Earthdawn and I spent 500 dollars buying every single Earthdawn book published in First Edition. But that was almost seven years prior to my D&D purchase.

Prior to that I snagged everything SR related, and snagged a lot of multiple copies-but I tend to buy used, so I got most really cheap.

This year is the first year in which I purchased software for the game: Dundjinni. So my purchasing is sporadic at best.

obryn

I think I usually buy a book or so per month, but Gen Con pushed up my average.

I think I picked up all the 1e Earthdawn stuff, too, but over a bit of a timeframe. :)  Damn fine game.

Usually I spend $50 or less (around 10-20). However, this ast Month I spent $150.

 I didn't even go to Gen-Con!

Despite my best efforts, I usually wind up buying at least one book a month, which usually runs me around $50.
