For those of you that know me, but don't go to animalball, you might be interested in this.  Animalball has its first podcast.  We're going to improve the recording quality for future episodes, but Mike and I generally discuss how we got into gaming and the shit we played/play.

Aiight, I just listened to this thing.  

It is fucking brilliant!  It's exactly what I like to hear in a podcast.  Just hearing you guys talk about your past gaming experiences was fucking amazing, I can't wait for the next installment!

Aw, that's fucking awesome.  Thanks, dude.

Just to let you know- we are aware that Mike's microphone sucks and we're working out some of the technical stuff.  With the tech stuff (recording software, equipment, etc.) we're still feeling our way around trying to find the stuff that works best to record a good podcast with one dude in Austin and another in Nebraska.  But we're going to improve this.

If you like the first one, Joe, we've already recorded the second one which concludes the same discussion-- we finish out our "history of gaming" in a slightly longer episode (it's about an hour unedited-- maybe 50 minutes once I've finished editing).  In the second one we're much smoother in the discussion.

Also, we want to include listener feedback and questions in future episodes, so if anyone has anything of interest, email me at kyle@animalball.com.  Next episode will be out by next Wednesday at the latest.

Are you going to have an area on your site that houses the podcast specifically?

I'm convinced Mike was wiping his ass with his microphone, too.

I'd never heard anyone talk that frankly about their babysitter doing such things.  I was shocked and tittilated.

Yeah, but I didn't want to let the recorded episode get too dated before we released it (meaning- it's going to be a week or more before I format a page for it).  After we have a handful of episodes, we'll also list it with the major aggregators, too.

I only listened for a few minutes before leaving for the train station, but Kyle, you sound great, and should be doing radio. Mike sounds like shit, and I wonder if someone stuffed a wad of tinfoil into his mouth. Mike needs a new microphone.

Yes, Mike's mic will make you want to tear your hair out.  He's bought a new mic and we'll see how that goes.  But like I said before, the change won't be effective till episode 3- so bear with us.

And I appreciate all the compliments on my voice, but there's no money in radio so I'll keep my day job.

Sorry I missed this earlier, doc. You really need to try it.  It's weird how easy it is to do.  I was actually inspired by the Fear the Boot guys (a bit dry, but I like it).
