I come from Northamptonshire and we all know that Northampton had a University that rivalled Oxford and Cambridge, but it was shut down because the Dean upset the king of the time. This would be perfect for that.

Then there were the Student Riots in Paris, which were particularly bloody. Student rivalry spilled over into violence quite a lot in the Middle Ages, I think.

Although many students were monks as well, there was a lot of stuff normally associated with students - Drinking and debauchery to name but two.

Yeah. Universities in 15th Century England were like a constant string of orgies, criminality and gang violence.
