This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Need feedback/thoughts on potential TTRPG online service for GMs

Was hoping to get some thoughts on something.

I am currently in the process of setting up my own online school.  The school is currently using Moodle architecture with a few useful plugins. It is geared to cater to families interested in homeschooling as well as anyone, of any age, looking for extra-curricular education.  There is a lot that goes into this topic that is not relevant to my current question.

I do not plan to have the school opened until maybe 2026.

School issues aside, I have been using it as a base of operations for my TTRPG campaigns.  I basically upload all the campaign info (maps, rules, discussions, rumors, etc..) onto the site and organize them using the Moodle LMS platform. (Screenshot of my homebrew Mass Effect game attached)

The platform allows for a variety of uploadable content as well as discussion boards and even conferencing software.  I currently have enough bandwidth to accommodate about 100 simultaneous users.

Being that I have found it surprisingly useful for TTRPG purposes, I was wondering if perhaps I could develop this further into something marketable to TTRPG gamers.

I was hoping to get some feedback on this idea.  Is it marketable?  Is it useful? What would you want from a campaign hosting service that isn't owned or controlled by WotC?

If anyone is interested in trying it out I could potentially create a space (course) for you guys to play around in in exchange for feedback.

I can also respond to any questions here. This is just something that occurred to me so I don't really have much in the way of a plan.  But if I can make a little money while helping out fellow TTRPGers at the same time... why not look into it.

Thanks in advance.
