This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Blacky the Blackball

Quote from: Necrozius;779493That memory-affecting effect is really cool. I had never really looked at this creature's stats before (to me it just looked like any other brute monster): did it always have this interesting encounter ability? I like it! I'll use that specifically as an example to players on how each ability score will be important...

It's always had the confusion ability, but the flavour text about not remembering clearly afterwards is new as far as I know.
Check out Gurbintroll Games for my free RPGs (including Dark Dungeons and FASERIP)!

Quote from: YourSwordisMine;779530huh?

The 4E Umberhulk caused victims to move about 30 feet instead of a random confusion effect. Kind of bland compared to the 1E confusion.

Quote from: ExploderwizardStarting out as fully formed awesome and riding the awesome train across a flat plane to awesome town just doesn\'t feel like D&D. :)

I know you were being funny, I just thought I could clarify how umberhulk  confusion works for those unfamiliar with the 4e version.

Saplatt

And now, just when you least expect it ... the Land Shark.

With the deadly leap feature, you don't even need an air elemental to create a real Sharknado.
