This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

So how does this adventure RPG hold up compared to Hollow Earth Expedition or something like Amazing Adventures? (I probably missed another big adventure style RPG)

It looks really cool and I like most of the games Wiggy makes, so consider me interested.
May I say that? Yes, I may say that!

League of Adventure is a Victorian adventure setting with some steampunk elements. It's from Triple Ace Games and it uses the Ubiquity system just as HEX. Am I right that Ubiquity is reaaaaally similar to the nWoD system?

I played in a three musketters game I think used Ubiquity, it did not strike me as that similer to nWoD.

It felt more like Savage Wolrds, but with a dice pool where you get one degree of success for every even number rolled.

Ok thanks. I saw a character sheet and it had almost the same skills and attributes as nWoD. So it looked very familiar.

Ubiquity isn't much like nWoD, except for the fact it uses dice pools.

If pseudo-Victorian exploratory adventure with some weird science is what you're looking for Leagues of Adventure is a solid option, unless there's something about Ubiquity you don't like.

In the same vain, genre-wise, though more subtle and IMHO tasteful, would be Terra Incognita, which uses the Fudge system.

Maybe I am misrembering then; the game I played pretty much had the D&D stats, although Con was renamed Body and Wis was named Willpower.

This sheet has the same skills as nWoD. Academics, empathy, indimidation, investigation, drive, medicine, survival etc. Maybe most modern systems are just somewhat similar.

Yeah just looked at it the skill list is very similar to WoD. But the calculations on skills reminds me of Rolemaster (shudder)

No longer available on rpgnow. So that's a shame.

Perhaps something can be arranged if you contact the publisher.
