Title: 5e Conversion notes
Post by: Omega on October 24, 2015, 04:26:57 AM
WOTC has this up now over on their site.

The conversion PDF for converting older edition characters to 5e.

http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/rules-references-october-2015 (http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/rules-references-october-2015)

Fairly simple stuff. mostly common sense "use whats closest" but some actual mechanics tossed in to to ease some things.

I was expecting something more... robust? Dont know?

I never got why people needed anything more robust than that.

It's not like you're converting your D&D character to another game. So robustness is not needed.

Yeah. I know that. But there are some changes between the two that could have been addressed a little more. It works as is.
