This is the best general rpg site, pun intended, on the interweb. Hell, I can talk WW and Mage if I feel like it and people will talk serious.

purpleworm.org is the place you mean. Fairly small site, and generally very friendly. They do have a strict "no saying bad things about other editions" policy, although I did start a thread there recently whacking on Mearls for his comments on NWPs.
