This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

And finally-- the surprise hit of GenCon!

Quote from: Zachary The FirstI did a test run with Kayuda, putting campaign notes and events on the nodes on my homebrew campaign map of Irrin.  Check it out (click on the nodes for more description), see what you think:

Looks great, Zach!

Quick question for you: are there no zoom in/out buttons because you have only one size of map in there, do you think?

Just signed up and think it's a great site.

Is there any way to switch off the ad bar? It really gets in the way.

Wow ... I'm kinda taken aback by the response in this thread. Thanks for everyone's kind words.

To respond to a few things that were mentioned:
  • Sorry about the size of the ads box, but I have to make money somehow. You can move it around, like any of the other floating panes.
  • We are technically in a closed alpha, but we activate signups within a day. (Sorry about the delay after GenCon.)
  • We have two kinds of maps - uploadable and editable. Editable ones can zoom in and out. Uploadable ones, for now, cannot.

If you have any suggestions, thoughts, ideas, bugs, or anything else you might want to tell me, please feel free to email me at support@kayuda.com

Thanks for dropping in, Rob!  I just signed up earlier today and will try to do some exploring later this evening.  From the looks of it so far it seems like a really neat tool.  Good work!

And a special thanks from a Mac user for making it platform independent.

My account got activated awhile ago... and my internet promptly died!  Anyway, I'll try to have a play on it later but for now I will say that it looks very, very cool.

I think so.  Now, if you build a map in there, I think you can go down to like mere feet or as high up as 256x256 miles.

EDIT:  Looks like Rob beat me to the punch.  Thanks for stopping by, Rob!

Crap!  I forgot to get online last night!  I was too busy playing Arctic Thunder, the world's best ninja-on-an-atomic-snowmobile video game.
