Four Color is out:

from the Seraphim guard site:

QuoteDuring the 1980s, the top RPG company of the day released a super-heroes role-playing game that had a MARVELous universe as its setting. Support for and interest in this system stretches to today, even though the game is long out of print. Phil Reed of Ronin Arts, one of today's top PDF publishers, just released a set of super-hero role-playing rules compatible with that classic game and has donated the rules to the public domain, making them free to one and all.

I have fond memories of the original game.   Don't think I'd ever want to play it again.  But for nostalgia it's certainly cool.

Or I could play using my old FASERIP books. Or download the old FASERIP books for free off the net.:raise:  I know then I couldnt publish something for it. But since I have little to no interest in doing that. It seems unnessisary to me.:idunno:  I dont mean to rain on any ones parade. Thats just the way I feel about it. If you enjoy it, more power to you.

The thing is, 4C is stripped down of all the "marvel stuff".  now it's tinker friendly, sure you could do it yourself, but this is a timesaver. now you can concentrate on shaping it to the specific genre of your choice. like it says in the book it's a toolkit.

For folks who enjoy the system, it should prove very useful.
