This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Are we talking coreBRP-lite with the option of going into Phoenix Command-insanity?

I'd much rather prefer a strong and solid core of medium complexity, allowing me to remove, add and tweak it to my tastes.
I'd rather avoid the extra work of converting it.

It's in development now, but in essence we're looking at the best of 2nd edition combined with some new systems or ideas. Really the 'Advanced' mode is comparable to the old game but more refined whilst the LITE is just very stripped back as the introductory version for new players to learn their way through

I can't possibly be that old! Are new players unable to figure out "roll under your skill on d20"?
I guess I'll be needing a lawn now...

Awesome:D

Soylent Green

Never played Mutant Chronicles but I do like the movie. I appreciate the film isn't really canonical but it was pretty cool done with a lot of visual flair and an awesome final combat. If there is a new rules lite version coming out I might be tempted to give it a shot.
New! Cyberblues City - like cyberpunk, only more mellow. Free, fully illustrated roleplaying game based on the Fudge system
Bounty Hunters of the Atomic Wastelands, a post-apocalyptic western game based on Fate. It\'s simple, it\'s free and it\'s in colour!

It wasn't just the D20 roll, there were a lot of fiddly systems in second edition that will be streamlined

So the playtest is live. If anyone is interested in seeing what this looks like, drop by their forums.

I'm in on this, and I'll say it looks promising(..) based on the first read-through.
It will be interesting, as I plan to run this for a brand new group that know nothing of the MC-universe.

If someone is interested in joining up, they're still accepting applications.
