Anybody got a store or a website or something to get Warhammer fantasy miniatures cheaply?
It's to replace a collection that went up in flames, basically. Any pointers appreciated. Thanks.

How old school?
There's always cool stuff floating around on Ebay. If you can't find it there, you're not going to find it on a webstore.
Especially the older stuff.

Well I don't know exactly. I haven't asked.

OK I was kind of hoping you'd see this thread. Thanks for the feedback at least.
If you want, I can help you search for pieces but to be honest, it's hit and miss on old pieces. When you find out what era they are from, and what system they came from I can probably do a lot better.
Without a narrower idea of what you're looking for... yeah, not digging in the closet tonight. If you need old-ish dwarves, ping me. :)
In my, limited, experience I know WH stuff can be gotten pretty cheaply especially if you're willing to buy half painted figures. There is enough player (and army) churn that people are always looking to unload their figures.
As stated, just trawl eBay. You can find some very nice stuff cheap every once in a while (especially if it ends mid-day or late at night).
You'd be surprised at how many large, cheap lots of old minis people unload. Not just Warhammer, but old Ral Partha, Grenadier and so on.
I recommend Super Clean (http://www.amazon.com/SUPER-CLEAN-DEGREASER-GALLON/dp/B000CCM63K) to strip the paint from any metal model. It's really a wonder, you can find it at your neighborhood Wal-Mart equivalent shopping center.
As long as it's metal, it will survive the treatment and be nicely clean in just a few hours.
Try lot searches too, like this one (http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=warhammer+metal+lot&_sop=15).
Bartertown (http://www.bartertown.com/trading/) is a good place as well.
This is where you just can't beat a good old FLGS. Ours has swap meets every couple of months. People bring in thier unwanted assorted game stuff and wheel & deal.
I got huge lot of old Brettonian archers and lizardmen for next to nothing because someone was looking to unload them. Best of all, you can actually see what you are getting and inspect the stuff firsthand.
